1% Reflection

I invite you this week to consider what percent of your average work week includes joy. When you drill down - what are those experiences that offer soul-satisfying glimmers?

If it's below 20% - there is some good news - slowly increasing up to 20% will be protective against burnout. If it's above 20%, well, the good news is, you can still add more.

Now, this is the part of the reflection that requires you to point your brain in the direction you want it to go and get out of its way.

How can you move the percentage up by 1%? Here are some very basic ideas - but you will come up with the best ones for you.

-Internal marketing of patient issues you love to treat or prevent.

-More intentional connection with co-workers.

-Taking a 10-minute walk outside at lunch.

-Look for things to be grateful for.

-Contribute in a new way.
